Naam-O-Nisha
Building digital legacies for those who serve society — and empowering those who shape society's future.
Naam-O-Nisha is a social initiative of Polymath 360 Studio. It uses digital technology and practical knowledge to support deserving social contributors and to empower people whose work shapes the future. Technology is the means; human and social value is the purpose.
Why Naam-O-Nisha
Many people doing meaningful work at the grassroots level have little or no professional digital presence. Their contribution may be known within a village, community, institution or field, yet remain poorly documented online — difficult for a wider audience to discover, understand or preserve.
At the same time, rapid technological change, particularly the growth of artificial intelligence, is creating a new kind of digital divide. People working in education and other socially important fields need practical opportunities to understand these technologies, use them responsibly and decide how they can improve their work.
Naam-O-Nisha responds to both needs. It uses the capabilities available through Polymath 360 Studio not only for commercial work, but also for social contribution, knowledge sharing and digital preservation.
Digital Legacies — For Those Who Serve Society
Helping deserving grassroots contributors and social or welfare institutions establish a meaningful digital presence.
Knowledge & Capability — For Those Who Shape Society's Future
Sharing practical AI and digital knowledge through free social-impact initiatives, with educators as an important focus.
Crafting digital legacies for those who serve society
Naam-O-Nisha aims to identify deserving people and institutions whose work merits stronger digital visibility and documentation, such as:
- grassroots heroes and social workers;
- environmental and ecological contributors;
- rural innovators;
- people doing sustained public-interest or community work;
- welfare-oriented organisations and institutions.
Depending on the needs of an approved beneficiary, support may include a professional website, a structured digital identity, documentation and presentation of their work, organisation of their story, mission, activities and achievements, improved online discoverability, and a lasting digital record of their contribution.
The aim is larger than simply providing a free website. A website is a tool for visibility, credibility, documentation, connection and the preservation of legacy.
Support is decided on the basis of genuine social contribution. Not every request or organisation automatically qualifies, and no application or nomination process has been defined yet.
Empowering those who shape society's future
Naam-O-Nisha also aims to share useful digital and AI knowledge with people whose work influences others and contributes to society's future. Educators are an important focus.
AI for Educators — in development
AI for Educators — Practical AI for Teaching, Productivity, Student Support and Career Guidance is a free workshop that is currently in development. It is designed as practical awareness and capability building rather than technical AI training, to help educators understand how AI can assist with:
- simplifying difficult concepts for students;
- preparing lessons, teaching material, question banks and learning activities;
- supporting students with different learning needs;
- drafting routine professional communication;
- exploring student and career guidance;
- improving everyday productivity;
- understanding the limitations of AI, verifying AI-generated information and using AI responsibly.
AI does not reduce the importance of the teacher. It increases the importance of the teacher's judgment, context, empathy and responsibility.
The approach is never blind advocacy for AI: Ask → Review → Verify → Adapt → Take responsibility. Human judgment remains central.
Where things stand
- What Naam-O-Nisha exists to do: build digital legacies for deserving social contributors and institutions, and share practical digital and AI knowledge with people who shape the future.
- In development now: the free AI for Educators workshop.
- Completed work: individual beneficiary projects, workshops and their outcomes will appear here only once they are completed and verified.
Our principles
- Service before promotion. The initiative exists to create social value. The people it supports are not marketing opportunities.
- Technology with a human purpose. Digital tools are useful only when they solve a real problem, preserve something valuable, improve access to knowledge or help meaningful work reach people.
- Dignity. People are represented with respect. Their stories are not exaggerated, sensationalised or reduced to charity narratives.
- Authenticity. Claims about a person, institution, programme or impact must rest on real information and evidence.
- Accessibility of knowledge. Useful technology should not remain limited to specialists.
- Human responsibility in AI. AI output is not automatically correct. Verification, privacy, authorship, context, bias awareness and human accountability are essential.
- Long-term value. A digital presence should help preserve a contribution; a workshop should leave practical capabilities people can keep using.
About the name
Naam-O-Nisha is named in memory of Nisha, the late wife of the initiative's founder. It is intended to let that memory live through useful work that benefits others.
